The booklet We got up and survived contains three basic texts for understanding independence. They were written by Janez Janša, the then Minister of Defence and the current Prime Minister, who was probably a key actor of that period. It is an analysis of the turning points of independence, the military conflict and some documents that reveal how the transitional left did everything to prevent independence. Definitely a booklet that should be on every bookshelf.
